Lent Reflections comm. Wed 24th Feb 7.30 pm Throughout Lent, the Rector will be giving a series of reflections on the Liturgies of Holy Week. These presentations, with plenty of opportunity for discussion, will be held in the Rectory at 7.30 pm on the following dates:
* Wed 24 Feb - The Liturgies of Palm Sunday
* Wed 10 Mar - The Liturgies of Maundy Thursday
* Wed 17 Mar - The Good Friday Liturgy
* Wed 24 Mar - The Easter Vigil
Quiz Night Wed 10th February 7.30 pm QUIZ NIGHT being held in the Upper Crypt ~ teams of four people are welcome to take part (£2.50 per person). Refreshments will beserved in the interval.
St John Fisher High School Band Sun 7th February 7.30 pm Concert by the St John Fisher High School Band, Choir, andSteel Band. Entry is free. All welcome.

Patronal Festival Sun 31st January 10.30 am There will be a Festival Eucharist and Procession at 10.30 am at which the Preacher will be the Right Revd John Davies, former Bishop of Asaph. The service will be followed by the St Bride's Day Lunch. Tickets (priced £12.50) will be available in Church. On this day we will be inviting members of the congregation to make a specialdonation to St Bride's, to assist our financial difficulties.
Russkaya Cappella Sun 24th January 3.30 pm Music for the Russian Christmas
A short programme of Russian Choral music including works by Bortnyansky, Gretchaninoff, Kastalsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, and Tchaikovsky.
Tea & coffee will be available after the concert. Admission free but donations gratefully received.
Week of Prayer for Christian Unity Sun 24th January To mark the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, the Revd Craig Lancaster, Minister of Hyndland Parish Church, will be preaching at St Bride's on Sunday 24th January. The Rector will be preaching at the Parish Church on the same day.
Election of new Bishop Sat 16th January The Election of a new Bishop for our Diocese will take place on Sat 16th January. Please keep the Candidates & Electors in your prayers.
New Ordinand Sun 10th January Dr Kevin Francis, an Ordinand in training in the Diocese, will be undertaking a placement at St Bride's from Epiphany to Easter. We look forward to welcoming him on Sunday 10th January 2010.
